The value of a leader within an organization, Steve Jobs leaves Apple CEO

Whenever I want to give an example of an entrepreneur, I mention to Steve Jobs who is one of the founders of Apple and is now an icon of the technology industry.

Steve Jobs, who was with a medical license, has today resigned as CEO of Apple.

In his resignation letter says “I always said that if one day I could not fulfill my obligations and expectations as CEO of Apple, I would be the first to say … unfortunately, that day has come.” In his letter to Tim Cook also suggested as his successor as CEO of Apple.

Steve Jobs, many years ago was recovered from pancreatic cancer, and more recently had undergone a liver transplant but no one knows for sure what the medical problem that is currently in his final performances but wore very, very bowel.

I have always put Steve Jobs as an example of an entrepreneur since he, despite all the millions of dollars you may have continued until he reached where the forces under the command of Apple leading the innovative vision of the company that has transformed the industry music with their iPods and iTunes, has transformed the phone industry with its iPhone smartphone and now is doing the same with the book industry and tablet PCs with its iPad.

Steve Jobs is a clear example of how true is that entrepreneurs do business not to become millionaires but because they have the dream of transforming the world into a better place thanks to its products and services and that is why despite their millions, Steve Jobs tried to stay ahead of Apple as it has been just a disease and has been away from his dream.

Known for his resignation Apple shares fell 7% but at the end of the market decline was only 5% when reported succession plans within Apple.

Look at this video of 1984 when Steve Jobs launched the Macintosh, a revolution in their moment in the world of computers in their view that software should be integrated hardware and that one had to be developed for the other and vice versa:

Years later, that vision of Steve Jobs led Apple’s board to remove him as CEO. The Board considered that Apple was losing money with the vision of Steve Jobs and the better the model of the then overwhelming PCs Microsoft, which consisted of one hand was the other hardware and software.

Apple reached the edge of the abyss and Steve Jobs returned to Apple as CEO to save the company and that the saved go to make it one of the best technology companies and make it what it is today. That is the value of a leader with vision.
